Download Burnaby Neighbourhood Boundaries

People keep asking on reddit and elsewhere for Burnaby neighbourhood boundaries in geospatial format. I made one (link at the bottom of this post)

Backstory

Last year, I needed these boundaries for Gogomi, my walking app that tracks city coverage by neighbourhood. Vancouver publishes theirs online but there was nothing for Burnaby. I asked around, contacted the city…nothing substantial.

So I traced them myself during a café hang at La Forêt near Metrotown, using the neighbourhoods outlined on the Burnaby Heritage site. You can read about my process in: Ep 14: DIY Mapping - Adding Burnaby Coverage to Gogomi.

Note: These are based on Burnaby Heritage's divisions, which may not be canonical but worked well for my purposes.
